New Canaan Recreation Soccer Program
Our co-ed soccer program offers a fun, supportive environment where kids can learn the fundamentals of soccer. The focus is on building physical skills, confidence, and teamwork through structured practices and games.
Each child will receive a t-shirt. We recommend players wear shin guards, sneakers or cleats, and bring plenty of water.
Please bring a soccer ball to each practice.

Please note: Divisions may be combined or canceled based on enrollment. Co-ed divisions may be created if needed.

Coaches & Volunteers
All coaches are volunteers from the New Canaan community. We welcome parents with basic soccer knowledge to sign up as coaches or assistants. Materials and guidance will be provided to help create a positive and productive experience for the kids.
Coaches are not permitted to exchange players or allow unapproved participants. All player changes must go through the League Director.
Only one coach per team may be on the field during games if needed for instruction. Otherwise, coaches should remain on the sidelines during play.
The New Canaan Recreation Department reserves the right to remove any coach, assistant coach, or team parent from the program at its discretion.
Refund Policy Recreation Programs and Permits- Refunds will be processed through the same form of original payment, except cash refunds will be processed by check. No pro-rated partial refunds. Recreation Programs- for all programs other than Day Camp and B/ASF classes, a full refund is given if withdrawal notification is received up to 7 days prior to the program start with return of unused t-shirt, less administrative fee of $5.00. Day Camps-full refund given if withdrawal notification is received up to ten days prior to the session start, less administrative fee of $5.00. B/ASF classes- $5 fee assessed if parent notification to the Recreation Department occurs up to 7 days before the start of the class. $25 fee assessed if notification occurs within 7 days before the start of the class. No refunds will be issued after the class starts. Facility Permits- no refunds on permits for Pool, Kiwanis, Tennis, Paddle.
