Chess Team - Chess Team
Enhance your child's chess skills with an exciting 8-week learning opportunity! This class is designed for students already enrolled in the Before/After chess programs at New Canaan elementary schools who are eager to take their game to the next level. Held on Wednesdays at the Lapham Community Center from 4:00-5:15, students will focus on tournament-level chess in a small group setting. The class covers opening strategies, tactics, practical endgame studies, and includes tournament simulation sessions. Participants will also have the chance to represent their schools in local tournaments, competing against players from Fairfield County and New York.
